Hilary A.
I am an avid reader and owner of over 300 books. Reading is my addiction, my biggest passion, and is how most of my free time is spent. I usually read 2-3 books a week.
I am a self proclaimed bibliophile with dreams of being a librarian.
Fiction: I enjoy reading present day setting novels about real people and real places. I enjoy mysteries and love stories and well as crime thrillers.
My favourite authors are Jodi Picoult, James Patterson, Kristin Hannah, and Sophie Kinsella.
Non-Fiction: I enjoy reading self help, books on psychology, health and medicine, as well as memoirs.
My favourite author is Malcolm Gladwell. I have also enjoyed memoirs such as, Orange is the New Black (Piper Kerman), the Glass Castle and Half Broken Horses (Jeannette Walls), as well as the autobiography Brain on Fire (Susannah Cahalan).
I choose to own my books rather than borrow from the library, as I imagine my own library in my house one day (sliding ladder and all!). I am presently collecting books for my personal collection, as well as books for my future children.
On a Personal Level:
I am 22.
I am working as a flight attendant, but I went to school to be a paramedic. I have my A-EMCA provincial certification.
Most recently I have accepted a part time position at the best book store in Canada, Indigo! Finally doing a job that suits my interests and passion for reading and books. I am thinking is job might just change my life.
My dream job would be working as a librarian in a school setting (Elementary, secondary, or post-secondary).
I am considering going back to school to be a mid-wife.
I play baseball, love shopping, and DIY.
I spend my free time reading, doing puzzles, crafting, playing board games, and learning.
My favourite book is The Girl-Son (Ann E. Neuberger).
I love tea, and cofee. My favourite food is Mexican, and sea food.
One day I plan to live in St. John’s Newfound Land.
Hi Hilary, thanks for following my blog! I too choose to buy my books rather than borrow them from the library. As great as library’s are, I find it too emotionally painful when I have to give the books back again, LOL. I’ve always dreamed of having my own sliding ladder. 😀

Exactly my thoughts! When I was a teen I had collected so many books my father finally gave most of it to the local charity!
